Welcome to the Comfort Foodways Exhibit
FINDING COMFORT/DISCOMFORT THROUGH FOODWAYS
Comfort Foodways—activities around food and eating that bring comfort in times of stress.
This exhibit presents snippets from peoples’ experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic. It shows how people are finding both comfort and discomfort through food. We hope it makes you think about the potential ways food can be used to not only help us get through this time but to create a better world for all of us.
The exhibit is based on the oral history project, Finding Comfort/Discomfort through Foodways, which is partially funded by the Association for the Study of Food and Society and The Ohio Humanities Council.
